The DayZ Community Offline Mode offers the ability, to explore the world of DayZ in a singleplayer environment. While this mode does not represent the actual DayZ gameplay it offers other possibilites for developers, content creators and player who do want to experiment around but not loose all their progress from online.
This is UNOFFICIAL, so don't blame the DayZ development team if this is not working at all for you!

- Y (Z for QWERTZ-Keyboard) - Open the COM toolbar menu.
- X - Toggle Autojog/walk/run
- X + SHIFT - Enable Autorun (Just X to disable it again)
- X + CTRL - Enable Autowalk (Just X to disable it again)
- END - Teleport at the position you are looking at
- O - Spawn a random infected (Zombies)
- O + CTRL - Spawn a wolf (Agressive and will fight both players and infected)
- O + SHIFT - Spawn a random animal
- R - Reload the weapon and refill the ammo (Infinite ammo)
- P - Display your current position in the chat and print it to your logfiles (See logfiles section for their location)
- B - Toggle debug monitor
- INSERT - Toggle free camera. This teleports your player to the position you looked at when turning it off
- Click objects to select them.
- Click and drag objects to move them.
- Click on nothing to deselect the current object.
- Middle Click to snap to ground (Might not be accurate)
- Spawn in new items using the object spawner menu that can be found in the toolbar.
- You can either enter values on the onject editor gui or hover above the value with your mouse and use the scroll wheel to in-/decrease them.
By default the 'Hive' that is repsonsible for spawning loot and infected is enabled. If you want to prevent loot and infected from spawning you need to follow this guide: Toggle loot and infected spawn
Disabling the hive increases the game performace.
In case you want to report errors to us or the offical dayz dev team, you might need logfile info.We also save the positions you printed ingame in it so that you might revisit them later on by saving them in some textfile.Locations are stored inside the script.log for now.

Maybe we could discuss this. I'm very curious about how the Single Player mode will feel, as it needs to be completely PvE.
DayZ might feel a bit lonely and desert-like if you play on an empty server. This means Devs need to offer the player enough PvE options and objectives so it doesn't turn to be boring after the first 30 minutes.
Loot should be extremely scarce in my opinion. AI presence must be MASSIVE. This includes wildlife, infected.. and other humans.

We haven't seen AI Survivors or Bandits in Standalone yet, but I'm pretty sure they are being worked on at this very moment. This would be the perfect addition for the SP Mode. It would still require us to look around for other threats than a bear or a pack of wolves.
There are some main topics to think about when talking about Single Player.
- AI in the World: Predators, other Wildlife, Infected, Survivors..
- Dynamic Events: Animated Helicrashes (you could see the heli flying on it's path and finally falling to the ground, like in the mod), Survivors AI attacking each other, Roadblocks, Notes with indications or clues (<this could tell some good stories in SP mode if treated well), random vehicle crashes with or without AI near them..
- Persistence: Items such as booby traps, bear traps, landmines.. could be randomly placed all over Chernarus. You should be careful with your steps unless you don't wanna end with your leg broken or your whole body in pieces after stepping over a mine. Also dead bodies you killed or got killed by something else anytime (decay would give them some details as bad smell, flies around it, damaged equipment..)
- Objectives: Maybe some sort of storyline you need to realize about by traveling trough Chernarus??
